About Pickerington, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Pickerington, OH is a city found in portions of Franklin and Fairfield counties. It is a Columbus suburb with approximately 18,300 residents, and the community was founded as Jacksonville in 1815. However, the name was later changed to Pickerington to honor the community’s founder, Abraham Pickering. Pickerington was certified as a city 1991, and it has been called the “Violet Capital of Ohio.” Pickerington is located about 16 miles from Columbus and 130 miles southwest of Akron.

There are several notable attractions located in Pickerington. The Motorcycle Hall of Fame brings the most tourists to the area, and it has been called a mandatory stop for all motorcycle enthusiasts. Visitors looking for some rest, relaxation, and pampering might like to book a service at body Ache Escape Massage Center or Allvera Body Wrap and Wellness Center. Additionally, there are several bars and pubs located in the area, and visitors in need of a date night activity might like to visit the Marcus Pickerington Cinema.

If you enjoy hot and humid summers, then Pickerington is the right place for you. Temperatures in July – the hottest month out of the year – average at about 85 degrees for highs, but muggy conditions will make it feel even warmer. There are a lot of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area during these months, but you’ll want to make sure that your home air conditioning system is running so that you have a cool place to return after your excursions.

Weather conditions are drastically different during the winter. Temperatures are cold, and with about 26 inches of snow per year, the area is relatively dry when compared to other regions of the United States. Still, an energy efficient heat pump or furnace will be needed to keep home interiors warm while also preventing pipes from freezing. Without these systems, you could be on the hook for an expensive repair if your pipe work froze because of the weather.
